Elementary Age Kids

–Worship & Wonder for K-3rd grade meets every Sunday through June 23 this year. Our volunteer leader can use a helper some weeks, and does take off a few Sundays, so let her or the church office know if you would like to help!
–Engage and Explore class for 4th grade and up meets 3 Sundays a month. Upcoming dates the class meets: 5/5, 5/12, 5/19 (schedule subject to change). (Look for Summer Sunday School opportunities a little later!)

Scholarship application

The FUCA Scholarship Fund is designed to help students offset some of the costs of higher education. FUCA awards money based on several criteria, including academic achievement, demonstrated talent or skill, a clearly defined goal and financial need. Applicants must be a member of a family belonging to FUCA or be sponsored by a member and have roots in Arvada. The application must be completed by Sunday, May 12. Scholarship Awards will be announced on Graduation Sunday, May 19 during church services. Contact the church office with questions.

Memorial Endowment Gifts

May is the perfect month to make an eternal gift to the Endowment Fund in honor of a loved one who has passed away. Right now, the Challenge is on! Your gift will be matched as long as the Challenge Fund lasts. (Half the matching money has already been claimed, so don’t wait!) On Memorial Day Sunday, May 26, the names of those so honored will be listed in the bulletin. No mention of the donor or the amount will be revealed. If you want your gift matched, please include that request along with your gift and the name of the person you wish to honor. If you have already given a gift to Endowment in 2024, let Kathy in the church office know if you wish to give that gift in memory of someone special. For more information about Endowment giving, see Martha Sullivan or Denise Winn-Bower, or Contact the church office. Be sure to note “Endowment Challenge Fund” in the memo line of any check intended for this challenge. You can also give to the Endowment Fund online. Make sure to note it is for the “challenge fund” and who you wish to honor.
